2014 Cal Cup

The 9th annual Cal Cup F1E was flown Thursday February 13, 2014 & was completed in very nice fashion.
The breezes were light but fairly consistent from northernly direction, so that the maximum flight time per round
was 180 seconds for the entire seven rounds.
Entries were somewhat more than prior year, with seven flyers, including Junior Logan Tetrick, flinging their
magnetically steered gliders off the Holloway Dune, we are permitted to fly from.

Peter Brocks is to be commended for his dominating performances, as this marks his EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE
VICTORY of this event! Congratulations Peter!

Results follow, & are posted on Ian Kaynes’ FREE FLIGHT NEWS website, I am told.

1. Peter Brocks, 622.46
2. Tom Ioerger, 559.63
3. Maurizio Tomazzoni (ITA), 533.48
4. Ian Kaynes (GBR), 525.52
5. Logan Tetrick (Jr), 503.20
6. Mara Straffelini (ITA), 441.55
7. Richard Wood, 202.24

My thanks to everyone involved,
Leeper

Hi Roger

Here is the link to my photos taken over the Fab Feb week. It’s getting
harder to get photos and compete in several classes and, now that Kathy is
also competing, it was impossible to catch all the classes.
