May’s Double American Cup in New York

The Skyscrapers are holding two back to back American Cup contests over May 20,21 at Wawaywanda NY.
The traditional Hatschek-Challenger is held over a weekend in May. B and J on Saturday, A and Q on Sunday. We have overlapped it with the Lacey-Kerr America Cup in A (and possibly B if there is interest). So A (and maybe B) can be flown on BOTH days for those flying in two American Cups. Andrew will CD one day, me the other.
May is typically calm with easterly breeze and the entire field is wide open, before any corn is planted to the west. Club golf carts are available and the field proper is covered with fresh green sod. However, the local motels in Middletown are pricey.

The Canadians hold a double contest (Canada Cup and the Huron Cup) over a weekend, almost always with perfect weather, usually in July. It is hoped that a double American Cup contests in May will become the go-to spring contests in the east.

Due to the timing of the F1E World Champs, The F1E WCup contest held in Denver has been rescheduled from 07 July to Friday 01 Sept. That is the day before the regularly scheduled Rocky Mountain FF Championships. Chasers will be available. Looking forward to seeing you!
