Dan on the Fin
From:Daniel Berry

The white fin doesn’t improve visibility, it enables visibility. As an addendum- painting the tops of the wingtips is another helpful hint. All of this is to aid the timekeeper when timing to the ground. The last 50 feet and lower in front of ground clutter are where it really helps. Unless you’re flying over snow.

F1J Transportation Help wanted
From: Greg Stewart

Buying F1J’s seems to be the in-thing this fall, so I’ve jumped in too.
I have 3 models plus a spare wing coming to the World Champs in Lost Hills in October. I am looking for someone who will be driving there who can receive them and work with me to get them boxed and shipped. Of course will pay for your time (unless you charge lawyer’s rates!).
I DO already have one volunteer to receive them, but still looking for person who can carry them home and be my shipping agent.
