First 2018 AmCup Scores
From: James Parker

First 2018 AmCup Scores,

Before I know it, we’re 1/5 thru the AmCup Season. The  SW Arizona contest and west coast contests (Lost Hills and Sacramento)  are complete and so the  FF activity moves to the east and central parts of N. America
The rules for 2018 are the same as 2017 except for a clarification on local  contest rules as previously written. The 2018 rules are post on the NFFs website. The 2018 contest list is the sames as 2017 except the King Orange contest has moved from the new year weekend and the the Florida Modelers  decided not to get the AmCup Sanction.  Also the Big Al contest  at Lost Hills is not being held this year.

Dual-Clubs FF Bonanza contest – Reminder
We got this reminder that we are passing on .

Good morning Free Flighters.

This weekend is the Dual-Clubs FF Bonanza contest at Lost Hills.  The weather forecast is near perfect from Thursday to Saturday. Remember that we have relocated the contest to ~1/3 mile North of the usual spot. That means Parking/Camping and Flight line. Look for signs. Parking/camping will be North/South. The flight line will be a minimum of 100 feet west. Please try to adhere to these requirement. As in the past the CD Operation shelter will be in front of the parking line. Don’t line up with it. We’ll be there Thursday to set up. Thank you for coming.

Also remember that on Saturday we have the Ice Cream Social starting at 12:30pm and the Potluck at 6pm. For the Potluck, bring a small side. No deserts. Orbiteers, Linda Piazza is bringing a Dual-club inscribed cake. Plenty to feed everyone.

The original flyer did not include the Big FAI events but F1ABC have been and will be run by Bill Booth

Don Bartick, CD

This past weekend
There was two World Cup Weekend with 2 events in Romania and 2 events in the UK
Both had good turnouts, more in Romania as it is in Central Europe but a respectable number of French and German flyers made it to the UK.

The results of the UK events are online at.

We have seen some results from Saltonta as pictures on FB but not official tables yet.  We like the tables better 🙂
