FAI Events:
*Saturday, March 16: F1A, F1B, F1C, F1Q and F1P
Seven, one-hour rounds beginning at 8:00 AM
Rounds One and Two will be extended maxes of 240 seconds for every event.
Rounds Three through Seven will be 180 seconds.
Flyoff times will be announced at the conclusion of Round Seven, but will be no earlier than 4:00 PM.
*Sunday, March 17: F1G, F1H, F1J and F1S
Tie Breaker flight to the ground for all events: 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM
Five, 45 minute rounds beginning at 9:15 AM. Maxes will be 120 seconds for all rounds
If needed, a maximum of two Fly Off flights will start no earlier than 2:00 PM
If tied at end of those two Fly-Off flights, the Tie Breaker flight will determine unresolved placings.
2023 winners: F1A-Van Nest, F1B-Fitch, F1G-Fitch, F1H-Jensen, F1J&S-Perkins
Please engrave, polish and return perpetual trophies.
AMA and Other Events:
Category II, San Valeers Style
Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Sunday 8:00 am to 3 pm.
All AMA and Nostalgia events may be flown Saturday or Sunday
Events may be started on Saturday & finished on Sunday with no limitations.
1/2A, A, B, C and Super D Gas.
1/2A, A, B and C Nostalgia + 1/2A Golden Age and Vintage FAI Power
E36, P-30, Vintage Wakefield, Small Rubber Stick & Fuselage combined, Large Rubber Stick & Fuselage combined, and Nostalgia Rubber.
HLG, Catapult Glider,
Nostalgia Gas events shall be run according to the NFFS rule book except motor runs may be 10 seconds Hand Launch and 13 seconds VTO for flights 1, 2 & 3. Flights 4 and beyond may be 7 seconds Hand Launch and
9 seconds VTO.
1/2A Golden Age shall be models from 1957-69 and engines may only be Tee Dee or Holland Hornet .049 or .051. Motor runs shall be the same as Nostalgia Gas events.
Entry Fees:
FAI events: FIA,B,C,G,H,J,P,Q & S: $25 first event, $10 for second
Non-FAI Events: $10 for first event, $5 each additional event
All-In Open Fee of $35 to fly your little hearts out!
AMA Age Juniors: HLG & P-30 free. All other events $5, or All-In Fee of $10
Awards:
FAI Events: Tiles or plaques for Places 1 – 3, Perpetual trophies for F1A, B, C, G, H, J & S
$100 to the top age 20 Something F1ABC competitor.
High Time Junior and Female Tiles or Plaques
All Non-FAI Events shall split Prize Money in accordance with the San Valeers Process.
Additional Notes:
AMA & Lost Hills Association Memberships are Required.
FAI events shall be run according to the 2024 FAI rules except:
- Competitors are responsible for finding their own timers
- There will be no poles
- Depending on availability only one timer per competitor may be available for flyoffs
Q competitors are responsible for monitoring one another’s motor runs
Protest Fee: $20 cash. Refundable only if protest is upheld.
