The Dudes Plus

Terry Thorkildsen pointed out that we had omitted F1P, thanks Terry and we had intended to award the F1A Jnr jointly to both   John Mah-Gersting and John Kim as their totals were virtually identical. The revised list is below. Everything else is the same. Thanks to those who have already sent in their t-shirt size. One more item. On the shirt it has your name. We use just your Given Name, some times known as your First Name or Christian Name. So taking the first person on the list as an example on the F1A winner we would put Jama as his name.  So if we got yours wrong or you use a different Given name sometimes just let us know.

This years Top Dudes awards for Fab Feb awarded by SEN for the Top placed over all contests in each class scored by a World Cup type scoring system is as below.  These are custom T-Shirts custom created for you by a surfer dude. The shirts have to be made just for the winner, so if you are a winner send you t_shirt size to SEN at sen@faifreeflight.org and if where you want it sent is different from the address you used to sign up, include that in the email too.

Another Fab  Feb Record ? and new Tradition!

I think that Ittai Kohavi and his mom (and F1B flyer) Yael Kleefeld must have broken the record for the most times on the I-5 between Los Altos and Lost Hills because Ittai had to go back to school after the Kiwi Cup but then after the MaxMen F1B had an important High School Basketball game that evening but then needed to be back down at Lost Hills for the flyoff.

We have some important traditions at the Fab Feb, some are  around flying like the MaxMen having moving pole positions, the North American the Teams Award and the Kiwi the real time scoring and the Ike AMA event.  However the really important ones are to do with food and up to this point the main instigator has been Janna Van Nest with Gabby’s on the field, the Ladies Tea Party, International pot luck with extra help from the Chinese team and the evening at Gabbys.  We are happy to see that Janna is getting help in this important activity. Last  year a new tradition was started by Yael Kleefeld and helped by German F1B Junior Lara Maria Horak of very much appreciated pastries and fruit handed out after the MaxMen F1B/C/P day. We had to wait until this year to make sure they appeared again, and they did so that makes it a new tradition. Something more to look forward to next year.
