A few thoughts on this proposed new event:

First as I see the rules shaping up it is an event that would not be needed. Case in point: nosgas 1/2a is already an excellent beginners event and one that the "experts" won't be allowed to design super ships to dominate.(indoor easy B). the only way I can see this as being a successful event is if we make it an "all balsa" category. This would make the models easy to build, cheap and easy to repair. I have enlarged the "busy bee" plans to 40 inches and should have the model tested by 2000. here's what I think would work:

1- all balsa construction only.
2- baby bee .049 only.
3- use engine timer.
4- cox 5-3 or 6-3 prop only.
5- weight 7 ounces.
6- 10 sec mtor run.
7- 2 min. max.
8- no rog.

Of course once I have flown the big bee all of the above may change. I'll keep you updated.
