Dear Steve, (reply to number 22)
There is a great deal of difference amont the various cox engines. I do not know how much flying that you have done with these little monsters, but the differences are and will be significant. In almost all cases, a simple inspection will reveal what is needed. Cox has put code numbers on the various assemblies, which would make a teardown only needed if an engine were really suspect. The engines ability to pass more fuel through the backplate area will not mean anything if the single bypass engine can not consume the fuel quickley enough. The weight minimum on the models will negate any advantage that a lighter engine would have. In many cases the non-tanked models will be easier to obtain, especially since they are now the vast majority of estes production. Before anything can be nailed down from a rules standpoint, Models have to be built and flown. Hopefully this will happen with people other than experianced contest fliers involved. Your input is appreciated. Thank You
