Several points to ponder: Cox glow heads (#325) are available. They are what cox uses on their product engines. ( Product engines are what is used on ready to fly models.) I would not like to see any available head used. There are other alternatives; Norvel carries two different heads with matching plugs. These are available through hobby shops. The cox 6-3 grey prop is a bad piece of merchandise. The blade with the pitch and diameter stamped on it is very, very heavy. Every few years, when the spirit moves me, I reinform them of this. I prefer the eye dropper system, but I believe eye droppers and timers need to be tried. The knowledge that Larry Willis gave us last summer will make running .049 engines on relativley simple. The T-bird has a projected span of less than 40". A sturdy T-Bird with two carbon strips (.007 X 1/8") on each fuselage side. a .062 skid and monocoat covering will come out to close to 250 grams. The original Starduster and the Fortastrop also qualify. I will check others. The items mentioned above are all available at hobby shops. A restriction on really high nitro fuel would be good but tough to enforce.

I will pass along other thoughts as they wander through my mind.
