I checked out the nffs page about the Babe Bee 40 event and see some good ideas been pass around. If I remember, Jim Haught did an article on something similar in Model Aviation magazine around 94 or 95 called 3-Ways? The FF model was called Potato Man.

What about not focusing on the timer or eye dropper, but the amount of fuel allowed? This discussion has been passed around before. Is it 30sec Antique that follows this concept? It does not seem to expensive and is easy to do.

Last, what is wrong with flyoffs? I speak of the kind where you fly head to head, not the marathon that requires professional chase teams to race back with the model. I find it fun to be a spectator or participate in the head to head "old days" style fly off flights. Maybe allow less fuel for these flight based on weather/wind conditions.

Just tossing in two cents worth.
