Joe,
Just a couple of other thoughts about the event.
I would suggest that rather than a fixed 40'' wing dimension, we use 250 sq. in. This would allow some already available kits and plans, such as the Satellite 226, and Sal Tabi's Hydrostar minus floats. If we use a 40'' limit for the wing, everything will be a rectangle, with very little imagination. We don't want it to become a T-Bird contest. I think a 40'' T-Bird, well trimmed would be out of site in 15 seconds. I personally prefer some form of timer rule, but I'll leave that to experimentation .
Maybe R.O.G. with a timer, and Hand launch with an eye dropper.
See you at the NATS.
