NOSTALGIA MODELS
Nostalgia Power
Nostalgia power was established as the initial free flight program sponsored by the NFFS and includes approved model designs of the 1943-1956 period, powered by original engines of the era plus selected post-Nostalgia engines. See the NFFS Rulebook (newly revised 1-30-07) regarding rules for Nostalgia Power. A list of approved model designs is available from the web site.
Nostalgia Rubber
The Nostalgia Rubber program was approved for competition beginning January 1, 2002. The new category consists of two events: 1) Nostalgia Rubber for non-Wakefield, and 2) Nostalgia Wakefield. The Nostalgia era of 1943-1956 included many highly competitive non-Wakefield and Wakefield designs that may now be flown in official NFFS events. The wealth of available designs should result in high contest performances, perhaps even challenging that of current AMA-type modern models.
Lists of suggested models and sources for related articles and plans is available here. See the NFFS Rulebook regarding rules for Nostalgia Rubber.
