THE NFFS FOUNDATION & GIFTS

The NFFS Foundation has completed all of the documentation necessary to begin accepting donations to the Foundation.

The Foundation will create an endowment whose proceeds will help provide operating funds for the pursuit of the goals and operational needs of the Society now and into the future. Guidelines containing the goals of the Society have been approved by the membership in 2006, and published as an attachment to the NFFS by-laws. Adjustments to the guidelines will be made from time to time as the Foundation matures. A review of the guidelines by the NFFS Board of Directors is mandated every four years.

The NFFS Board of Directors has approved the U.S. Family Foundation, a provider of foundation structure and reporting for not-for-profit foundations such as NFFS or private individuals as the provider of the financial services needed to manage the NFFS Foundation.

U.S. Family will assume the responsibility of all tax reporting, investment of funds, and distribution of income from the endowment. Distributions will be to the NFFS Treasurer based on guidance from the NFFS Foundation committee and the Board of Directors. U.S. Family will also provide quarterly reports to the NFFS Foundation committee and Board of Directors on our financial progress.

Donations to the NFFS Foundation are fully 501-c3 tax exempt and qualify as charitable donations for tax purposes. Donations may come from direct contributions, wills, bequest, IRA distribution, trust or various NFFS membership programs as well as other foundations. Donations can also come from current contributions.

You may specify that your donations be anonymous. U.S. Family, a separate tax-exempt entity, will acknowledge your donation and provide you with appropriate tax filing documentation.

Donations to the NFFS Foundation endowment should be addressed as follows:
